This video about a fat kid swimming with his shirt on cracked me up. I went to University of Wisconsin when the Onion was just starting in that city. So it was great to see when their video network launched - it was equally hilarious and brilliant as their newspaper was. I used to have to cut out and mail articles to my little brother. Emailing their videos is easier. view

I liked this video because Galifianakis seems to be able to write material for any audience. I had the chance to meet him recently and he is a wonderful person willing to dole advice and to discuss the art of comedy. It's a unique style of one-line jokes that the comedian relies on, but that doesn't mean that his humor is any less dense or thoughtful than others'. This video, more than his others, demonstrates the versatility a comedian can showcase if he's willing to relocate a bit outside of the box. view

Online video played a huge role in the presidential election, and most of the best clips were created or remixed by supporters, not the candidates. But I got a kick out of this one from Mike Gravel, who also showed he would take chances when he did a video with Obama Girl on our network. A lot of fringe candidates like Mike Gravel, Ralph Nader and Ron Paul did some really interesting things with online video. For all the well deserved hype about Obama's stellar marketing campaign -- I'm not sure his campaign actually created any memorable TV spots or online videos. Not that this Mike Gravel video would have suited him, but it's pretty out there. view

This clip is proof that you can't believe everything you read on the Internet. The video’s YouTube description says that the music machine was built at the University of Iowa, its components come from John Deere Industries, and it took 13,029 hours to build before this footage was shot. Turns out that the video was created by a company called Animusic, using computer generated imagery (CGI). Fantastic nonetheless. view
