Most High-Tech Ocean Observatory Opens
For those of you who wanted 24/7 access to octopus, squid and other bottom feeders, you have check out Canada's new Pacific Ocean observatory, NEPTUNE. Its nearly 500 miles of data-transmitting cable make it the largest of its kind in the world. And its many cameras are hooked up to the Internet. So, in many ways, it's like a massive webcam to the ocean floor.
