Rent - On Broadway
I'm in a Broadway kind of mood. (Actually, I'm usually in a Broadway mood when it comes to music.) And lately I've been re-listening to the original Broadway cast recording of the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical "Rent," which was also turned into a film (not the other way around!). The show ran for 12 years on the Great White Way, making it the seventh-longest running Broadway music of all-time. Here's a snippet of why it had such staying power.
