In honor of my birthday – on which day last year this video was posted – and in honor of me being Irish and all, here’s one of an Oscar-nominated series of animated shorts from Brown Bag films called “Give Up Yer Aul Sins,” in which pictures are put to stories told by Irish schoolchildren in the 1960s. In this case, it’s the tale of Ireland’s patron saint, who was not Irish (and the snakes, sadly, do not come up).
