  Fantastic Machine

  (3D)
  [ 2:00 - from YouTube ]

This clip is proof that you can't believe everything you read on the Internet. The video’s YouTube description says that the music machine was built at the University of Iowa, its components come from John Deere Industries, and it took 13,029 hours to build before this footage was shot. Turns out that the video was created by a company called Animusic, using computer generated imagery (CGI). Fantastic nonetheless. view

  What Would Jesus NOT Do?

  (Flash)
  [ 8:40 - from YouTube ]

This hilarious and caustic animation of God speaking to his angels in preparation for his incarnation on Earth as his own begotten Son is a shocking, funny and sobering take on religious beliefs. As I watch the unfolding effects of the unimaginable disaster in Haiti, it's difficult not to question what kind of God would take the poorest country in our hemisphere and two years after a devastating hurricane, raze it with an earthquake killing almost all the UN peacekeepers, while also freeing the most savage gangs from prison to return to terrorize the surviving population. view

  Hamusuta

  (Flash)
  [ 1:36 - from YouTube ]

I totally want the battery-operated Japanese hamster that runs around in a ball, but came across this while Googling that. Don’t know exactly what this is, except it includes hamsters, Uganda and Chewbacca. (And no, I’m not buying myself Hamusuta the Happy Hamster, but the holidays are coming. Hint.)  view
