We've all had friends that disappoint us once in a while, but this is one friend who needs to be cut free. Sitting there drinking his Jamba Juice and wasting his money on new electronics is no way to spend the day, especially when he could be helping to look for your lost wallet. I hope I never find myself in this situation.

Evangeline Morphos is a professor of film and theater at Columbia University. She developed the university's first courses in television as dramatic literature. Her scholarly work includes articles on American and British theater, narrative uses of the Internet and film. Evangeline holds a B.A. from Wellesley College and an A.M. and Ph.D. in English from Harvard University.
