Don Hertzfeldt’s cult classic still endures since it first was seen in 2000. It’s a mock reel of rejected commercial work that grows more dark and absurdist with each vignette... I personally love stuff that blurs the line between storytelling and reality -- where the audience is asking themselves, "Did this guy actually submit these commercials to major corporations?" only to find themselves moving from discomfort to sheer hilarity. Any professional working in a creative medium can relate to the pressures, which is why this animator’s nervous breakdown is so damn funny. “My spoon is too big!”
