This is from "The South Bank Show," an English arts and culture program that appears to take more stylistic risks than the average TV documentary. This segment has a very mysterious and strange tone, especially when Dahl drops the kids off with a woman who is obviously a witch, and also obviously Ian McKellen dressed in drag.
