8 Death-Defying Helmet Cam Videos

For extreme sports athletes, putting on a helmet-cam is usually a death wish. But a tip of the hat goes out to those people who have the cojones to strap a camera to their heads and document their flirtations with death just so the rest of us can live, vicariously, on the edge. The truth is that helmet cam video footage is the closest a lot of us will ever get to base-jumping, attempting a motorcycle wheelie, or getting stuck in an avalanche. So now it's your turn. Strap on a helmet, roll the GoPro, and watch 8 death-defying helmet cam videos.
#8: 90 MPH Motorcycle Wheelie
A guy tries to do a wheelie while he is going 90 MPH on a motorcycle. Can you guess the ending? It's particularly unnerving when his legs fly above his head.

A couple of bicycling brothers take you on a ride through the back alleys of Rio. And one of the brothers narrates the whole trip. What a pro.

#4: First Person Avalanche
An experienced back country skier gets caught in an avalanche. He was buried for 4 and a half minutes, and you can hear his breathing accelerate through the video. This video reminds me of the Kill Bill burial scene, just not quite as dark.
#3: Ultimate Bike Trail Ride
How about another round of bicycle helmet cam videos. Did you take a Dramamine pill before you watched this one? I can't wait for this game to come out on the Wii.

A skydiver straps on a helmet cam and dives into the San Diego Chargers stadium. Unfortunately, a bee meets the helmet cam head on.

This video takes the prize for being the most traumatizing. Nobody forgets running over their friend with a motorcycle.
