Internet and Television Meet the Parents
by Brendan Lopez
Since the birth of Hulu in 2007, many studio executives have tried to replicate the success that NBC Universal and Fox have had in creating a commercial-supported site featuring high quality movies and television shows. From The WB's rebranding to YouTube's recent deal to host full length movies, it doesn't seem like anyone in Hollywood is going to slow down in their attempts to bring high quality, full length content online and make money in the process. We hope they succeed. In our opinion, the more success the execs achieve, the merrier the viewer. However, that doesn't mean that we can't have some fun in the process.
