  This song is sooo good. And the video's not too shabby either. The band Do Make Say Think combines Jon Brion-like melodies with the flavors of jam bands, jazz and indie-rock to create a wholly original sound. This clip is nothing special, but its low-budget quality only adds to its charm. I love any video that involves Teddy Bears playing Hold 'Em. view

  Maybe it's the medley of cheesy canned music that makes this video so unintentionally hilarious.   Or it could be the ridiculously out-of-date editing transitions.  Still maybe, it's the fact that someone airbrushed eyes, duckbills, owls, movie clapboards, and other ass-animated artwork onto a perfectly good pair of jeans with the intention of selling it to people.  Yeah, that's probably it. view

  Helen Keller, for those of you who do not know, is an American author, lecturer, and political activist that not only was blind but was deaf as well.  This rare video, from a 1930 Vitaphone newsreel, showcases the way in which Helen learned to talk by feeling the vibration of words when she places her fingers on a person's nose, mouth and neck.  Her instructor and lifelong companion, Anne Sullivan, takes us throught the steps in a compelling and compassionate way.  The final line Helen speaks is truly touching...it is inspiring to see how someone so physically handicapped, can overcome what seems to be insurmountable odds. view

  Holy moly.... This Nintendo-inspired stop-motion animation legobrick video took 1,500 hours to make. (For those of you keeping track at home, that's 62.5 days STRAIGHT) I sincerely hope these guys got paid or received A's in several classes. Either way, it succeeded in making me want to be an 8-bit loving, donkey-kong-fighting kid again. view

  Stop Motion Sand Sculpture

  Artist Leif Maginnis created these stunning sand sculptures in Manhattan and El Segundo beaches, and then turned them into beautiful animated movies using stop-motion and time lapse photography. I especially like the way (at about 4:45) the ocean cascades over the artwork, shaping it and then making it all disappear. The music is LTJ Bukem's "Breezeblock Mix". view
