Michael Whitmore is a musician, composer, writer, blogger, artist, record geek, and photographer. Yes, a jack of all trades, but a master of two. Besides three solo CD’s and dozens of credits as a sideman, he has also received an NEA Composers grant. Most recently he composed music for Pulitzer Prize winning poet Franz Wright, for his Wheeling Motel. Whitmore writes the blog, the thing of a thing of a thing for Amoeba.com. Presently, he’s writing and illustrating a novel, loves hanging out with his seven-year-old son and gorgeous artist/educator wife. He is a lucky man.
