Annakin Slayd - Feels Like '93 (2010 Version)
Docs & Non-Fiction (Sports), Music (Music Videos), Viral (Pick-me-ups)
[ 3:36 - from YouTube ]
Hello out there in eGuiders land! My hometown, Montreal, was recently under the spell of "The Habs", our beloved Montreal Canadiens hockey team. The team pretty much sucked all season long and barely made it into the NHL playoffs... somehow they found themselves inching towards the club's 25th Stanley Cup. This pumpin' music video featuring baby-faced Montreal rapper Annakin Slayd (AKA Andrew Farrar) is a gem. You can be a wicked pissah Bruins fan, humiliated from being knocked out of the playoffs by the Canadiens, and this transcendent ode to the legendary Montreal team will still make you shed a tear and hope, just a teensy bit, that Montreal wins their 25th cup in 2010. Even non-hockey fans (I count myself among you) should get a charge out of this spirited video. Update: The Philadelphia Flyers ended up knocking the Habs out of the playoffs.
