Fellini Discusses LSD
Docs & Non-Fiction (Profiles)
[ 4:35 - from YouTube ]
In this video, master filmmaker Federico Fellini states that normal people need LSD to bring down the boundaries between the subconscious and conscious parts of their psyche. According to Fellini, an artist is always letting himself be flooded by subconscious elements. So LSD didn't do much for the great Italian master of symbolism, except make colors have their own objective reality. That's a funny comment for someone who mainly worked in black and white. Also notice the cool black tie.
