Gizmo!, made in 1977 by Howard Smith, is the original found footage mashup, using newsreel footage from the 1930s on.  The clips are of inventors demonstrating their creations, which include human wings, the very first Roomba, and a bicycle that can climb trees.  Part 7 of 8.
