Mark Twain's folksy short story, The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County, is an American classic. Here's a short slice-of-life video about the actual contest in Calaveras County.  Sure, those frogs can jump, but it's really the people going ape nuts trying to make the frogs jump that makes this video funny. It's no wonder Twain found so much amusement in this contest. Frogs, by nature, are not competitive creatures. We humans, however, will do just about anything for a chance to win a contest - any contest.
