The Academics are a "faux band" that have a serious underground following in clubs and comedy venues throughout New York. With this video they are taking their show on the road. The band members claim to be Cambridge graduate students who mix their studies in "philosophy" with a post-punk sensibility. Funny and smart - have fun with this one.

Evangeline Morphos is a professor of film and theater at Columbia University. She developed the university's first courses in television as dramatic literature. Her scholarly work includes articles on American and British theater, narrative uses of the Internet and film. Evangeline holds a B.A. from Wellesley College and an A.M. and Ph.D. in English from Harvard University.
