After United Airlines baggage handlers broke Halifax musician Dave Carroll's prized $3500 Taylor guitar on the tarmac, in front of passengers' eyes, he and Sons Of Maxwell bandmates tried their best to get compensation by calling United's customer service department for a year. When that didn't get them anywhere they recorded this song which became a huge web hit after CNN covered the story. A few days later, after the video had well over a million hits, United offered to compensate Carroll. However, the musician decided to pass, instead encouraging them to donate the money to a charity of their choice. Carroll has promised to release 2 more web music videos about the whole affair. Never underestimate the power of web video.
