The problem with television fantasies like The Sopranos is that people -- particularly stupid ones -- are apt to subscribe to those methods of problem-solving.  Here, a bride-to-be adamant about further alterations to her dress brings in relatives to muscle the bridal shop owner, who might strike the casual onlooker as a little Russian Mafia-ish.  But they are probably not, because any professional criminal would not let themselves get arrested for something so idiotic as trashing a dress store to get them to make alterations.
