Dock Ellis & The LSD No-No
Animation (Cartoon / Traditional), Comedy (Broad), Docs & Non-Fiction (Sports)
[ 4:32 - from YouTube ]
This brilliant and entertaining animated short pays homage to Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Dock Ellis and the day he threw a no-hitter while tripping on acid. This short was inspired by an NPR interview during which the former right hander gave a moment by moment account of June 12, 1970 - the day he pitched a no-hitter against the San Diego Padres. This could be considered one of the greatest American professional sports, and drug, accomplishments of the 20th century.
