Julian Lennon Explains the Story of LUCY
Docs & Non-Fiction (Art & Entertainment, Health), Music (Live, Music Profiles)
[ 8:09 - from YouTube ]
To support finding a cure for Lupus, musicians Julian Lennon and James Scott Cook have recorded a song called "Lucy." For both men, Lupus has had a personal impact: Cook's grandmother has lupus, and Lennon recounts memories of a childhood friend, Lucy Vodden, who inspired "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds;" sadly, she recently passed away of Lupus. The guys speak for a bit, then perform a live acoustic version of the song. Note: Until March 15, 2010, 100 percent of the proceeds from each download of the full version of LUCY from iTunes will be donated to Lupus research.
