Heath Ledger began directing this animated music video “King Rat,” for the band Modest Mouse before his death in January 2008. The Masses, a film and music company in which Ledger was a partner, stepped in with the help of co-director Daniel Auber, to finish the piece that is meant to protest whaling in Ledger’s homeland of Australia. Proceeds from downloads of the video on iTunes go to support the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.
