While a short film seems like an unlikely medium to convey the controversial and complex topic of the Roman Catholic church and child abuse, director Joe Shaw deftly characterizes the haunting cycle of abuse with a twist that plays on the notion of Confession. Shot with just one camera, two actors, and one scene, Shaw and cinematographer Philip Bloom prove that you don't need a mega-buget to make a powerful and moving picture.
