Sketch Theater posts Time-lapse videos of famous illustrators doing drawings in their notebooks. It’s rare to see a work of art created from beginning to end. I found these videos mesmerizing, and I hope you do to. We've posted a few samples for your enjoyment.

I'm hooked on Gavin McInnes web videos. Great comic touches throughout, and he deadpans like no one else. Keep your eyes peeled for more from this guy.

Crackle.com really knocks it out of the park with this series about the life of a straight man living in a very gay town. You can't help but catch the social message that's lurking in the closet. Yes, it's funny to watch a straight man get picked on just because he's not like the other guys in town, but then you realize how it can be at times for homosexuals living in the real world. GAY TOWN isn't just funny; it slyly turns homophobia on its ass and gives it a good spanking.

80s clip art never looked so cool as in this animated series. Watch the series for some great political humor. It's too bad that these videos are probably more true than funny.

Sandwiched between big budget television and ad hoc webcam clips are some well-produced, engaging, and fun webisodic gems. "Getting Away With Murder" is an IFC Independent series that was launched a few years back. It does a great job of bringing dark comedy to the web video space. I really appreciate the attention to detail given in this series (particularly the music) - an example for others to follow.

Here’s one for the teen market. Described as a “sort of live action Scooby Doo†by Ad Age, Ghost Town follows two boys as they hunt down the paranormal (complete with a ghost cam and a see-through friend). With its professional actors and high quality effects, this could easily double as a TV pilot for a family channel. The only thing it's missing is the cowardly dog.

Gigatone Records is blatantly capitalizing on the popularity of the new president. While I'm not one to advocate bandwagon-jumping, I do think these videos are worth checking out. This series of Obama-themed parodies of rock classics are illustrative of what you can do with a little production value and a lot of creativity.
