Winner of The Escapist Film Festival, A Good Knight’s Quest is the latest work from writer, actor, and director Brett Register, also known for his popular space comedy The Crew. Along with well known web series actors such as Craig Frank, Paula Rhodes and Angie Cole, we are brought on the trials and tribulations of two gamers who unwittingly set free an imprisoned princess -- right into their own living room. Smart comedy and great acting make this one a more than enjoyable watch.

This completely fan-developed and produced musical homage to Harry Potter is fantastic from top to bottom, demonstrating the power a compelling story has in permeating viewers' lives to the point that they want to get involved and create something. I hope studios will find ways to support this type of fan fiction. The fan-made prequel for Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog is another must-see.

So, there have been more than a few webisodes about out-of-work actors, created by out-of-work actors, but I admit to giggling at this one. Dennis Haskins, beloved principal from "Saved by the Bell," has a funny take on the pompous Acting Class Instructor, the melodramatic czar so often found teaching in dusty theaters or dank stripmall offices across the nation. This new series is up and down on the acting, ironically, but the self-centered neurotic characters have some great moments.

Here's a dark post-apocalyptic drama in which everyone has stopped dying and being born. It centers around a couple wandering through the ruins of Los Angeles. Atmospheric music and dreamy cinematography creates an interesting take on the biblical prophecy of the Rapture.

I'm always on the lookout for gems and break out web series that are helping to shape and define the industry. And though 'Afterworld' launched over 2 years ago, it is still one of the best examples of digital storytelling because it has the power to captivate viewers through short 3-minute webisodes. Beautifully narrated with vivid computer animation, it follows the path of Russell Shoemaker, one of the only survivors of 'the fall'. As suspenseful as it is intriguing, unexpected twists and turns will leave you on the edge of your seat, anxious with anticipation.

With the NBA season in full swing, I figured now was a good time to revisit the history of Nike's most iconic basketball shoe. In this slick, enjoyable mini-documentary, the Air Force One sneaker is examined in a historical context. The doc is good, but I'm not sure I believe a shoe can really take credit for Moses Malone's championship performance.
