IKEA Heights is an overdramatized Desperate Housewives-esque series secretly filmed inside an IKEA store in California. The show is ridiculous and dripping with the kind of exaggerated acting and melodrama befitting of a comedy sketch or daytime soap, but the true 'heights' of humor are reached as passersby meander along with puzzled expressions, no doubt for the camera crew and over-the-top scenes taking place right before their eyes... in. an. IKEA. store. If nothing else, it's good for a few laughs, and IKEA makes for a surprisingly funny backdrop for an otherwise absurd storyline.

Lonely single girl Eden gets dating advice from her imaginary (and bitchy) girlfriends. The concept is cute, makes a derivative attempt at the girlfriend gossip of "Sex and the City," but the acting performances fall short and the dialogue is a bit immature at times. But, the series had lots of views on YouTube last year, so it's worth checking out.

This dramatic series delves into the tangled lives of a diverse group of gay men and was created in partnership with the Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Center and the city of West Hollywood. It's not for everyone, of course, but has good writing, an attractive cast, and never shies away from tough issues like HIV, promiscuity, and gay marriage.

A gloriously funny Mac vs PC parody that focuses on the different angles taken by independent filmmakers versus the big studio films. This series of shorts pokes fun at Hollywood and the studio filmmaking process.

One part 'Where Do I Come From,' one part 'Amazing Race,' one part 'The Restaurant,' this Bertolli branded series recruits Italian-Americans Marisa Tomei, Rocco DiSpirto and Dan Coretese to travel to the old country and uncover culinary and cultural mysteries. The producers even manage to cook up a little June-November romantic intrigue...if you can digest it. Hey, they are actors, not reality show contestants -- and the series was promoted during the Oscars and 'Desperate Housewives.' A bellweather of big budget celebrity web adventures to come.

"IQ-145" is a dark sci-fi drama set in near-future Chicago. Nate Palmer (Thomas Dekker), a young genius cursed by his gift, has lost his father, and has been enlisted by a secret organization to help locate a stolen microchip. The series leans toward the melodramatic, but overall it's intriguing. The show has been nominated for the 2009 Webby Awards and won six Telly Awards.
