Added to my list of young Australian filmmakers making some of the best short content on the Web (or elsewhere) is Sophie Tilson, aka Sadie from the award-winning web series Oz Girl. Though not part of the cast in “Hooked,” Tilson boasts impressive writing and directing chops in this short about a late night encounter that revolves around an ever-so-slight misunderstanding. Fellow Oz Girl alums Shanrah Wakefield and Joel Famularo are both excellent in the lead roles. Yet again, really high quality stuff from the other side of the Pacific.
