Liquid Metal
Animation (Time-lapse), Docs & Non-Fiction (Science)
[ 2:40 - from Live Leak ]
It looks like computer animation, but it's actually liquid mercury being manipulated by magnets and heat. Set to a lovely, spare piano score by Tetsuhide Hadaka, this piece combines the wow-factor of the T-1000 with the formal beauty and rigor of modern sculpture. Does anyone else see this as a tribute to L.A.'s famed Watts Towers?
