I had initially seen this short as part of a presentation of the 2009 Academy Award nominations and was happy to find it online. An African boy must face racial stereotypes in his grade school classroom and bury the demons of his past. The story helps reinforce the notion that sometimes the only thing people need to get along is a common enemy. The film appears to be a prelude to a larger story, and it would be interesting to see a feature length version evolve based on the short.
