The great thing about the Internet is that it promotes the discovery of works that might never be seen by mainstream audiences. Such is the case with this captivating Russian film, a 1990 Oscar nominee for Best Animated Short. Director Aleksandr Petrov tells this story of life, death and family by painting each frame on glass.
