The Masses, a film and music company in which Ledger was a partner, stepped in with the help of co-director Daniel Auber, to finish the piece that is meant to protest whaling in Ledger’s homeland of Australia. Though the first part of this video looks like it could be yet another commercial that ends with terminally hip young people drinking the same alcoholic beverage on the rooftop of a big city high rise, it actually turns out to be a unique contribution to nerd art projects captured on video (minus the malt liquor in a penthouse too). Capitalizing on my own geek cred, I'll mention that laser light doesn't diffuse (like standard incandescent light), and therefore can be redirected over and over, even across an entire city. Cool stuff and great song by Groove Armada as well. view
