Every age has its medium and its comedians. As we cross the digital divide (goodbye analog TV!), it's worth remembering the move from silent film to talkies. Charlie Chaplin had it all, but he couldn't cut it in talkies while Groucho's gifts were well-suited. But eventually Groucho's musicals gave way to Bob Hope's road films, which gave way to Woody Allen's neurotic surreal self-deprecations and so on. Here's an older Groucho reminiscing about this poignant truth in a short vintage clip.
