I have no idea what this show's about -- but one thing that webserials.com does well is imitate known formulas. Here we have the bickering criminal duo with an underlying love interest. The whole set-up is simple and fun for an opening act and good enough that I wanted to see the next episode. There's a serious professionalism beneath the team that produced this show, and they're worth keeping an eye on. Don't be surprised if they land a serious gig soon.

MTV created this dark, vampire mystery series about college freshman Sophie, who assumes a false identity to break into Valemont University, in search of her dead brother's killer. The show feels more like a teaser-trailer, but it's pretty slick. It's written by "Six Feet Under" scribe Christian Taylor, so maybe it is being primed for full-length series... Honestly, with all the vampire content out there now, I'm surprised there isn't a VAMP-TV yet, All Vampires All the Time. Wait, didn't someone do that with music videos once? Oh yeah, MTV... who made this vampire mystery series...

You’ve seen a lot of series about vampires, but none that were comedy-horror-thrillers, and none that were made by Kevin Pollack. The star of Usual Suspects and Cop Out makes his directorial debut playing Elliot Finke (possible relation to blogger Nikki), a documentarian chronicling the life of a struggling LA actor who may just be a real life vampire – albeit a neurotic one who’s too squeamish to bite people and eat raw garlic. His problem? He can’t get a part playing a vampire, and there are people out for his blood -- and Elliot Finke’s footage. A show worthy of its hype, which included a star-studded Hollywood premiere.
