Physics isn't the friendliest of subjects, but these well-produced videos from PFILM will have you hooked. They follow a team studying the Higgs boson (a "God Particle" that the video explains far better than I could) as they experiment on the newly constructed Large Hadron Collider in Switzerland. It's a great series that makes high flying concepts understandable for you and me.

This gritty crime drama starts off with police captain Michael Madsen in a coma, and George Hamilton (the mayor) dealing with his key witness in taking down the mob now out of the picture. Watch as the inditement falls apart and the drama unfolds throughout this series.

Special thanks to writer/director Rick Castañeda for creating a comedic series that doesn’t rely upon toilet humor, homophobia, or unresolved Oedipal complexes as a major part of the storyline. Filter out those three aspects from the thousands of off-beat comedies on the Web, and you’re left with a paltry number of videos indeed. “Coma, Period†stands out among those that make the cut. The series chronicles the unique musings of a man in a coma, which involve hallucinations of (tastefully) nude women, a chess-playing fetus, and a mystery door to hell. The show is also well produced by Downtown L.A. production outfit Lead Balloon.

Another one of my favorite web series, created by Payman Benz & Sean Becker of Awkward Pictures. Truly bizarre and original sketch comedy, and some of the best produced material online! I'm also particularly partial to episodes 5, 9 & 10.

You always suspected the IT guys were spying on your emails. But did you ever stop to think they might be professional sadists? Web TV is “the new cable," the place where creators can push the envelope – and “Compulsions†delivers as a slick and suspenseful “Dexter†for the buttoned up pistol-whipping set. You may never call the HELP Desk again.

Here's an episodic comedy series about a neurotic therapist who can't seem to follow her own advice. It's full of relationships gone awry, risque sitcom situations, and great side characters. I give them lots of props for the story lines and production value. The acting is a little stiff, alas...but I WANT to believe in the show's heroine (who also wrote and produced the series). This one is worth keeping an eye on.

Ben Hoffman has hit a little dry spell... that is to say he hasn't had sex in a year. It's up to his manchild best friend Sebastian and wingwoman neighbor Ashely to help him break his seal, while Ben tries desperately to avoid humiliation and disaster. This show sports some solid writing and a quick pace that'll keep you hooked until the end of the series.

If only you could “Ctrl Z†your entire life – delete that last faux pas, erase your latest office humiliation, and get a do-over. That’s the premise of CTRL, a new branded web series launched on NBC by the team behind Ikea-based comedy 'Easy to Assemble.' Starring 'Arrested Development''s Tony Hale, the clever series plays to the fantasies of cubicle monkeys and CTRL freaks everywhere...who just want a couple of fresh starts and a DEL button for their lives. Check out the interactive clips for some 'Arrested Development'-like weirdness.

DadLabs is the show for Dads who need a little bit of coaching now and then. From how to react when you find out she's pregnant to teaching your son to pee like a man, this show has it all. It's a funny, but useful tool for fathers everywhere.
