I thought the writing on this first season of Craig Brewer’s Streamy nominated show was phenomenal. Though the show is completely scripted, most of the characters are actually from indie bands in Memphis, Tennessee, and it reveals their struggle in the local arts scene (including the lame day jobs indie artists typically have to work to support themselves). There was a time when MTV radically changed an industry. This quality of show, being released on the Web, could again be a step in that direction.
