Garrett McNamara on the search for big wave surf
Docs & Non-Fiction (Sports), Viral (Shock)
[ 7:07 - from LA Times ]
Having barreled his way through tsunami-sized waves in Tahiti, Garrett McNamara needed a new endorphin rush. So he headed to the glaciers of Alaska to surf the wake of giant, crashing pillars of ice. It’s the kind of thing you have to see to believe, and the fact that someone captured McNamara’s feats on film is almost as astounding as the stunts themselves. This was created by the (also melting) Los Angeles Times, which makes this all the more worth watching.
