Oz Girl
A New Life
Docs & Non-Fiction (Reality), Drama & Genre (Soaps)
[ 5:40 - from Blip ]
She’s been described as Australia’s LonelyGirl, and she just made the leap Up Over, getting a launch platform at the Independent Television Festival in LA. Created by an Australian college student, Nicholas Carlton, ‘Oz Girl’ stars blonde LonelyGirl-lookalike Sadie Brown (Sophie Tilson), who leaves her family’s apple orchard behind for the big city that is Melbourne. A blend of “The Hills” style glam-reality show and LonelyGirl v-logs, ‘Oz Girl’ follows the plucky Sadie as she dates, makes new friends, and tries to launch a photography career. The show, which struck deals with Bebo, Koldcast and BlipTV, has its own social networking community hub – a good place for all those living vicariously through Sadie to lose the lonely from their lonelygirl lives.
